We are a small foundation started by people from the villages we work in. We know the roads, the families and the problems, because they are ours too.
Why Samvika exists
In villages across India, we have watched talented girls leave school early, families take on debt for dowry, and women who want to work with no way to earn. These are not problems we read about. They are our neighbours' lives.
Samvika Jeevan Yatra Foundation was registered on 1 October 2026 to do something about it. The name says what we believe: every woman's life is a journey (जीवन यात्रा), and she deserves a road ahead.
What we promise
- Every wedding we arrange is dowry-free.
- Any surplus we make goes back into our work. Nothing is paid to members as profit or dividend.
- Our accounts are audited every year and published on this site.
- We tell women's stories only with their permission, in their own words.
Our mission
To walk beside women, girls and their families: arranging dignified dowry-free marriages, building skills and income, keeping girls in school, and giving women a platform to speak about the issues that shape their lives.
